Elmer the Great

Elmer Kane's inflated ego is matched only by his insatiable appetite - but there's no doubt in anyone's mind that it's well-earned. Despite his status as a rookie, Elmer is a star player for the Chicago Cubs, and is so valuable that management does everything they can to keep him from seeing any letters from his sweetheart that might have him missing home. Things quickly start to spiral out of control when Elmer finds himself up to his ears in gambling debts, and soon enough, the Cubs' prized player has to figure out how to handle debt collectors breathing down his neck, his prestigious position, and a an angered girlfriend wondering where HIS letters are!
