The Third Man

Following the prospect of a job offered by his childhood friend Harry Lime, American author Holly Martins makes the journey into post-WWII Vienna in order to meet with the man. Upon arriving, however, he receives the news that the job is no longer available - not because the position has been filled, but because Lime has been killed. Martins hears that his friend was run over by his own driver in a freak accident, but the more that he and the late Lime's girlfriend Anna Schmidt look into the matter, the more suspicious they become - and quickly become doubtful that Lime's death was even an accident.
