A Man to Remember

In the wake of the first world war, the widowed Dr Abbott arrives to settle in the small town of Westport, hoping to spend his twilight years treating those who need his help. The kindly doctor's efforts are met with obstacles at every turn, however. From creditors breathing down his neck, to corrupt politicians and bureaucrats whose concerns do not extend beyond their own welfare and lining their pockets, every attempt the doctor makes at improving people's lives is a Herculean struggle. Nevertheless, he struggles on, wanting to prove that his will to do good for its own sake is stronger than anything and anyone that would bar his path.
