Burlesque

The night is cold and dark, but even amidst the driving rain, Ralph Johnson and Bonny Lee King find comfort in each other's company - her after having failed an audition with a vaudeville company, him after having been fired from that very same one after complaining about her treatment at their hands. Their commiseration turns quickly to friendship, only to blossom into a loving romance, and the two marry in short order once they find positions in a more prestigious establishment. But with Ralph's drinking habits growing more and more out of control, and a fellow comic seeking to drive a wedge between the two so she can steal Ralph for herself, who knows if the show will go on?
